Frequently Asked Questions
HOW LONG IS EACH THERAPY SESSION?
Our sessions are scheduled for 45 minutes, once a week. We can schedule longer or more frequent sessions if we determine that additional support would be clinically indicated.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
We do!
Some of our providers currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, or any insurance that allows you to see an "Out of Network" provider. We can provide documentation for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
We also accept self-pay at this time.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Resolute Counseling is centrally located in Newton, along the D Line, Green Line public transportation. There is plenty of free and metered parking by the office. If handicap access is required, we can find an alternative meeting place or utilize Teletherapy.
TELL ME ABOUT TELETHERAPY?
Resolute Counseling uses Doxy.com for all Teletherapy sessions. It is easy to use, with no need to download software or create an account - just use a browser on a computer or device with a camera and microphone. Additionally, all data is encrypted, your sessions are anonymous, and none of your information is stored. Doxy adheres to HIPAA, PIPEDA, and GDPR data privacy requirements.
WHAT DO THE CREDENTIAL LETTERS MEAN?
In the therapy field, there are a number of different licensures one can get! The letters used in each state are different from each other, making it a little confusing!
LMHC - Licensed Mental Health Counselor
LMFT - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
LICSW - Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker

We do!
Resolute Counseling does offer sliding scale rates based on the situation and need.

OK, SO I CONTACTED YOU - NOW WHAT?
You will be contacted within 48 business hours. Depending on the type of inquiry, we will reach out by email or phone to answer questions, schedule an initial phone consult, or discuss next steps.
IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO DO PRIOR TO OUR FIRST SESSION?
Please complete the intake documents and send them to admin@resolutecounselingma.com prior to your first session. Additionally, you will be asked to complete an assessment questionnaire. It can also be accessed by clicking here.
ARE YOU AVAILABLE TO ME OUTSIDE OF SCHEDULED SESSIONS?
We are available to clients in different capacities, depending upon the need.
For communication regarding rescheduling, sessions, or general coordination, we will answer emails throughout the week.
For between-session support, we can work with clients to schedule planned check-ins at the standard rate.
For crisis support, we will discuss and develop an individualized crisis plan that identifies access to a provider directly, as well as additional emergency options outside of provider availability.
